Randall Frietzsche is an ISSA Distinguished Fellow. The ISSA restricts the Distinguished Fellow program to the top 1% of membership and is designed to recognize leaders in the Information Security field who have exhibited continued leadership with the organization and within the industry.
As an ISSA Distinguished Fellow, it is my mission to further the information security industry through education, mentoring, security awareness and thought leadership. I teach information security courses to up and coming students as an adjunct professor - I also enjoy writing on the blog and as guest author on industry online periodicals. I love to speak to groups on cybersecurity topics and also enjoy mentoring others in their efforts to further their career.
With the ISSA, I am involved in several committees, including the Fellow Selection Committee where we review applications for ISSA Senior Members, Fellows and Distinguished Fellows and ensure the Fellow Program works to meet the goals of the organization. I am also on the Career Lifecycle Committee - we work to leverage the ISSA to help members further their careers through education, mentoring, skill building and networking. I also created and manage the LinkedIN groups for ISSA Fellows and ISSA Senior Members.
